Stop Botox animal testing!
Stop Botox animal testing!
Success!
In June 2011 and early 2012 the American company Allergan received approval for an alternative test method for their botox products in the U.S. and the EU respectively. The test is based on human cells and does not use any animals. This proves that it is possible to test botox without animal cruelty. The other two major companies, Ipsen and Merz, are still using the cruel and outdated LD50 test. This partial victory shows that targeted campaigning leads success. This important success was only possible due to your help, dear supporters. Thank you to everyone who has supported our campaign!
At this stage it is important to continue to put pressure on the manufacturers, the politics and authorities in order to end the cruel botox animal tests for good.
The aim of the campaign »Stop Botox animal testing« is
- to inform the public about these horrific animal experiments
- to make the manufacturers to use animal-free methods instead of the mouse test
- to remove the mouse test from the EU regulations.
You can help!
- Don't use Botox products
- Spread the word
- Write to the manufacturers asking them to speed up the development and validation of animal-free methods
- Collect signatures
